September Foxes Class
At our first ever Fairywood Foxes class we learned square lashing. We practiced on pairs of sticks and then used our knot tying skills to build a bamboo fort in the woods. Everyone worked together to collect the bamboo, plan the shelter, and build it.
Last week the Foxes class went on a trail along Lake Monroe that is only accessible when the lake is low enough. We saw great blue herons, egrets, ducks, and geese. We found lots of bryozoans, which are colonies of invertebrates that form firm blob-like structures in the water.
