October Adventures
We've been going on adventures into the majestic autumn forest. On our walks down the big creek we've discovered more "tree caves" created by exposed roots on the creek banks, and they've become our favorite spots to play. Along the way we look for animal tracks and scat, fossils and geodes, and other natural mysteries.
We've also been going uphill, climbing all of the way to the top of Fairy Mountain! We've been finding lots of fungi, especially puffballs along the way.
The Thursday class hiked up to Zea, Jon, and Andrea's Seven Ridges Farm for a fun visit. We enjoyed seeing the ducks and harvesting and eating some giant carrots!
Gathering spicebush and making tea, leaf pile games, building a ladder, making slime, roasting pumpkin seeds, and painting gourds.
We love Fairywood Forest School!
