Ice Ornaments and Snowflake Tortillas
We had fun making ice ornaments and "ice muffins" this week by freezing nature treasures like pine cones and rosehips in muffin tins filled with water. We added a piece of yarn so we could hang them on trees.
We also cut snowflakes into folded tortillas and then cooked them over the fire with a little cinnamon/sugar mix for a tasty winter snack.
The creek was completely frozen all week. It was a challenge to maneuver around the thick ice so we spent a lot of time down on our hands and knees, slipping and sliding across it.
We brought hammers down to the creek to do some "ice mining."
